2 Issues in this post #1Had to replace the hardrive in my wife's computer so need to transfer AdAware Personal SE and Spybot Search & undo. I did a search to sight links for each program but am skeptical about the sites. For example: I clicked on a cerebrate for Spybot Search and undo but a page opened up in Spyware adulterate for the download so I was skeptical about performing the download. The same occurred with Adaware Personal SE and different Adware sites appeared. #2 I did select one that appeared to be AdAware Personal and downloaded it to a folder however when I attempted to execute the file I received the following message:C:downloads/aawsepersonal exe is not a valid win32 applicationThe file would not install. Can anyone provide me with valid links for each of the programs and also answer what the "not valid win32 application" means? If you are currently using Chinese transfer accelerator and peer-to-peer (P2P) register sharing software Xunlei (or move) be careful as it might displace you a trojan/trojans when its ads pop up. Chinese download accelerator and peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing software Xunlei. I previously had Xunlei installed on my laptop as I feel it is one of the beat P2P file sharing softwares out there. But two days ago my laptop was infected with the psw onlinegame trojan following a sudden appearance of the Xunlei pop-up ad. The trojan eventually dropped various exe and dll files with random names mainly into my C:\Windows and C:\Windows\System32 folders (I had my Kaspersky turned off and that explains why the the psw onlinegame trojan was injected into my system). I used various anti-spyware and anti-virus programmes such as Kaspersky. Spyware Terminator and Ad-Aware SE Personal to clear the trojan (and exe/ dll files) but every time they were cleared and the windows restarted my system was comfort re-infected with the same trojan. Ad-Aware SE Personal always detected the psw onlinegame trojan in two system paths but after I repetitively removed the trojan and re-scaned my system the same trojan in the same two paths comfort existed. The stupid seeds can’t be removed. I searched the net and stumbled upon a site claiming the effectiveness of in removing the said trojan. I gave it a try and viola the trojan was successfully (and permanently) removed from my system! But please be extra careful as Anti-Rogue Sweep also removed my system file called ‘ntsvc ocx’ from my C:\Windows\System32 folder! I had to transfer the ocx file from the net to regenerate the deleted one. So be extra careful!
