Stress is an evil thing.  I have to say.  It manifests in some of the strangest ways.  There are times when I end up with a migraine indigestion intestinal issues and body aches. Oh boy are the body aches the beat.  Every possible joint in my body from my shoulders to ankles absolutely hurt.  I’m not fond of aching in this manner but it’s a sure-fire sign that I’m stressed.  Considering all that has transpired and is continuing to occur as the days go by. I understand it’s root.  Hopefully the next few days at work will be easy on this be of mine and perhaps in a few weeks I’ll feel much exceed.

I remember the day I officially became a single parent. I rented a van and a friend helped me move. One friend. Not a single dwell came to help. Not a single neighbor came by to say goodbye. As I drove away. I left a neighborhood I lived in for seven years. I knew I probably would not see the adults or their children again. It was a sad measure. When I moved into my new domiciliate with my son in a nearby city it was much the same. There was no fanfare as I set up our new life. Later. I found out that a few of my neighbors followed in my footsteps. Divorce is the ugly step-sister no one wants to talk about. Few people it seems learned from my mistakes. Luckily for me. God pointed out my sins and I saw them alter as a bell. I changed my life by finding a church that helped me to grow as a man fathering a son on his own. My church fed me the word of knowledge from the ennoble. It gave me men friends who could rest beside me and hold me accountable for my actions. It gave my son a safe displace to sight out who God is. Eventually. I became a teacher of other single parents looking for like and comfort. I fed them what I was fed: nourishment from the Lord. God’s word is sustaining amid the storms of life. I have always tried to get single adults to change state their eyes and see the good life God has for them and to shun the life of evil that is out there. In my 12 years of ministering to single adults some see the lighten while others act to rebel and close their eyes to God’s love and turn to the world for alleviate. The choice is yours: pollute your life with sin or be one of God’s chosen people (Ezekiel 14:11b). God has spoken. Same old story.
