Bamboo BladePremieres October 1st. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Mondays at 25:30Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Mondays at 12:30Information Links: . From the staff that brought you Gun X Sword comes a story about a high school teacher who has to find five girls to compete in a kendo match so that he can win a year’s worth of free meals through a bet. I thought the concept of five girls doing kendo had potential but after reading the first volume of the manga. I didn’t find the story to be really exceptional despite some interesting characters. MokkePremieres October 2nd. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Tuesdays at 26:43Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Tuesdays at 13:43Information Links: . Mokke is about two special sisters who live in a rural town with their grandfather. The older sister can see spirits while the younger sister is easily haunted by them and through their grandfather and their own experiences they learn to respect and co-exist with all the spirits around them. This is a good series for those of you who are folklore buffs since each chapter of the manga deals with a different situation and spirit and I imagine the anime will take a similar approach. I’ve gotten used to the manga so the anime adaptation’s character designs look a bit odd to me but and voicing the two sisters should more than make up for it. BLUE DROP ~Tenshitachi no Gikyoku~Premieres October 2nd. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Tuesdays at 26:00Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Tuesdays at 13:00Information Links: . Blue Drop is the story of two girls: one who is the sole survivor of a mysterious incident where all the people of an island disappeared and the other who is an alien sent to Earth to do reconnaissance for an invasion. Like the manga it’s based on the anime looks to have yuri themes (the aliens only have one gender - female) and as it’s been a while since I’ve watched a yuri show. I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out. The animation quality looks like so I’ve got my fingers crossed in hopes that this won’t disappoint. Night WizardPremieres October 2nd. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Tuesdays at 26:00Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Tuesdays at 13:00Information Links: . Based on a pen & paper RPG this series takes place in a world where Wizards with magic are fighting invaders called Emulators. The anime version revolves around a female transfer student who has the power to end the war and the others at her school. The whole thing looks and sounds a little generic to me and the PV didn’t impress me that much either so this isn’t on my priority list. Ultimate Survivor KaijiPremieres October 2nd. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Tuesdays at 24:59Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Tuesdays at 11:59Information Links: . If you’ve seen any of Akagi you should recognize the art of Kaiji since it’s by the same creator Fukumoto Nobuyuki. This is also produced by the same team at Madhouse and will have Akagi’s voice actor playing Kaiji so I’d think that if you enjoyed that you’d probably enjoy this. Unlike Akagi’s mahjong though. Kaiji has various types of games and is about a guy who enters into the dangerous world of gambling. I never got a chance to watch Akagi though and with the large field of other shows on Tuesdays. I suspect that I probably won’t be watching this either. Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kunPremieres October 3rd. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Thursdays at 27:13Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Thursdays at 14:13Information Links: . The title character here finds himself - thanks to his own sister - living with a pair of siblings who are incubus and succubus and it turns out that the succubus is afraid of men so the main character has been chosen to help her get over it. But that’s not all! The rich and popular student council president is also his live-in maid. The whole succubus aspect sounds like it could have potential but having not read the light novel that this is based on. I can’t vouch for how good the story is since at first glance it sounds rather haremish. Dragonaut The ResonancePremieres October 3rd. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Wednesdays at 25:50Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Wednesdays at 12:50Information Links: . The background here is that faced with impending doom from a huge asteroid humanity created a weapon called a Dragonaut after the discovery of a dragon egg under the ocean. That sounds like standard sci-fi/mecha stuff and the 3-D battle from the preview didn’t really excite me but the contrast of red and blue between the two lead characters reminds me enough of Romeo and Juliet to think that their romance could be interesting. And unlike the majority of shows this season. Dragonaut is an original concept not based on a manga game or novel though those of you wary of Gonzo productions should probably take note since this is one. It’s also worth mentioning that the three main voice actresses from the Suzumiya Haruhi anime (Hirano Aya. Gotou Yuuko and Chihara Minori) are in this. Odds I’ll Blog This: Good ClannadPremieres October 4th. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Thursdays at 25:55Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Thursdays at 12:55Information Links: . CLANNAD is easily the most anticipated show of the season for me because of all the great things I’ve heard about the original game coupled with Kyoto’s Animation’s record of beautifully animated and faithful adaptations. Having such a talented cast too - including Nakahara Mai. Kanda Akemi. Kuwashima Houko. Nonaka Ai. Inoue Kikuko and Noto Mamiko - is just icing on the cake. I’ve been trying my best not to read up on the story before seeing this so all I’ll say about it here is that it starts with a troubled delinquent whose life changes when he meets the main heroine. ef -a tale of memoriesPremieres October 6th. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Saturdays at 25:35Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Saturdays at 12:35Information Links: ef is a story that starts with a guy who draws shoujo manga who by chance meets a girl on Christmas night as he’s going to his childhood friend’s party. I’m cautiously optimistic about this series because the prologue has some wonderful animation (by SHAFT though at some points I could have been fooled into thinking it was Kyoto Animation) and I love the music but preview DVDs aren’t the best judges of what the actual series will be like. It’s 12 episodes long - which I think is a good thing for these kinds of series - and the game this is based on apparently had set pairings so I don’t think ef will be anything like how people view traditional harem series to be. Mobile Suit Gundam 00Premieres October 6th. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Saturdays at 9:30Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Saturdays at 20:30Information Links: . The newest title in the Gundam franchise is about a group that wants to stop war on Earth and they have (in a bit of an ironic twist) the power of four Gundams piloted by Gundam Meisters. It feels like it’s been way too long since I’ve watched a Gundam series and since this isn’t taking place in the Cosmic Era there’s no reason for me not to be excited about it. The promos have thus far shown lots of action and I look forward to seeing how popular director influences the show. It should be also noted that although this series totals a year’s worth of episodes half of it is going to be shown in the next two seasons and the other half will be reserved for a later date. Popular speculation right now is that CODE GEASS will replace Gundam 00 in the spring of 2008 before Gundam 00 comes back in the fall. Da Capo IIPremieres October 1st. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Mondays at 24:00Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Mondays at 11:00Information Links: . Da Capo is back with a sequel set 53 years after the first two series. It’s got a whole new cast of characters who are the descendants of the previous cast including Junichi’s two granddaughters but some things stay the same - Suginami’s still around a Shirakawa is still the school idol etc. Though the animation production is still being done by Feel character designs are now being done by Shimazawa Noriko (who also worked on Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru) and it’s scheduled to be only 13 episodes long. Hopefully that’ll be a good thing and they won’t waste any time getting to the story. Minami-kePremieres October 7th. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Sundays at 25:30Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Sundays at 12:30Information Links: . This is a comedy that follows three sisters in high school middle school and elementary school who have very different personalities. I’ve read a few chapters of the manga and found it pretty funny but I worry a little because the director and animation studio working on this - and Doumu respectively - also did together. The interesting thing is that Minami-ke is scheduled to run for two seasons and the second season (coming January of next year) is being worked on by the and asread the combination behind. Maybe if this season doesn’t work out the one in the winter will be better. Jyushin Enbu - Hero TalesPremieres October 7th. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Sundays at 26:00Airtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Sundays at 13:00Information Links: . Jyuushin Enbu is originally a manga from the author of Fullmetal Alchemist that takes place in ancient China and has some elements of Chinese folklore. It features a headstrong boy with special powers who embarks on a journey with his sister and his friend to recover a sword that was given to him after his coming of age ceremony but was subsequently stolen. The manga’s still relatively new so the anime will probably take a different route than the manga like FMA did but it’s hard to say whether this’ll end up being a good thing or not since it seemed to work out pretty well in that case. Shion no OuPremieres October 13th. 2007Airtime in Japan (JST. GMT+9): Saturdays late nightAirtime in U. S. (EDT. GMT-4): Saturday afternoonsInformation Links: . For those of you familiar with Hikaru no Go. Shion no Ou has some similar qualities except with the game of instead of. However there’s also a deep sense of mystery because the lead girl’s parents are murdered when she’s young. She gets adopted by the professional shougi player next door and although she turns mute after the incident she herself is becoming a pro at the beginning of the manga with part of her motivation coming from the fact that she thinks a shougi player killed her parents. The anime adaptation is set to be 12 episodes long and while the character designs look a bit off to me. I look forward to hearing Kawasumi Ayako as Shion (despite being mute she does have a few lines here and there).

"I'm Really Not On ABC's Payroll but I Might As Well Be (hint hint)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 01:43:12

- toughen 2 Premiere4 shows. 3 Emmy's for 3 book Ladies. (And really. Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh deserved it just as come up as did Vanessa Williams. Judith lighten and Becky Newton on One can even make the argument Calista Flockhart because she wasn't annoying like she became on ). Wow what a difference a year can alter. A year ago. was at the top of the heap and strong enough to act to Thursdays against the undefeatable was coming off a sophomore slump. A year later. ABC's ensemble dramadies (and really slot (at least longer than the two or three weeks it was unceremoniously given earlier this year) instead of being relegated to Fridays again and giving the 10pm schedule to losers like . does ABC undergo a drama without a huge ensemble anymore? Not that I'm complaining because I think they bring home the bacon come up) have definitely done a change by reversal up with becoming one of the beat ensemble shows around (and unlike first predictions did not become the Calista Flockhart show). has perfected the charms of balancing between soapy melodrama and high dwell comedy. Meanwhile. has bounced approve fallen bounced back and fallen and bounced approve again with their attempts to bring around themselves to toughen 1 quality now levelling off at decent and amusing comedyrama. Meanwhile oh how the mighty have fallen. had the highest gain winning the Thursday 9pm schedule and had the biggest fall during Season 3 after the on-set drama bettered the on-screen drama. While the first post-Isaiah Washington episode didn't bounce back to pre-Season 3 quality there was an air of freshness breathed approve into the show as they quickly try to purge everything that went do by in Season 3. Some didn't love the first finale for with all the melodrama and cliffhangers. But I say this. It's based on a telenovela. That's what they be ON. It's the bread and butter of the telenovela. So I found it fit in perfectly. Now. 4 weeks later on the show. Hilda is reacting to Santos getting shot. Ignacio is comfort stuck in Mexico. Betty must get over Henry who is with pregnant Charlie in Tuscon. Amanda got fat after learning Fey is her real care. Wilhelmina is still scheming. Claire is comfort on the run and scheming to keep Wilhelmina away from Bradford. Christina is still underused and Justin becomes an confine at Mode (!!!). Oh and Daniel and Alexis are alive (duh!) but after some guilt driven by Daniel (Eric Mabius looking more boyishly handsome than ever to alter up for the dreary storyline). Alexis wakes up as Alex (!) I CANNOT act for this upcoming toughen. Especially with all the guest stars be (Illeana Douglas already making an appearance plus Freddy Rodiguez ( ) as a new love interest for Betty. James Van Der Beek ( ) as someone that works with Henry. Victoria Beckham as Victoria Beckham etc etc etc). furnish me the damn Emmy. On things are changing. Isaiah's bump off is out. Addison is gone into private learn. Callie is chief. Bailey is bitter for not getting chief (and back on the screen a bit more now we be a LOT MORE. furnish this girl more lines!). Meredith is comfort over McDreamy but get back together (can this story end gratify?). Izzie confronts George about her love for him (can this story end please?). Cristina tries to move on from being left at the altar letting us see more bitter but emotional Sandra Oh again and proving why I loved her in the first place. Alex pretends to be a dick but is longing for fake-amnesia girl and all of them (Izzie. Alex. Cristina and Meredith) now undergo their own interns. Interns that include George (looking mopey and getting some Emmy-worthy cut sequence scenes) and Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh. ). Meredith's sister who Meredith rejects at the end (I SOOOOOO didn't buy that she would be THAT big of a complain). Anyways it's a change and a start. Somewhat boring at times but I'll give them a few eps to fix what they broke. Over at Wisteria Lane on the fixer is here and his label is (above. Firefly. Lost. Drive. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Did I mention how AWESOME Nathan Fillion is? He joins as husband to Dana Delaney an old Wisteria Lane resident and friend of Susan's approve with a daughter who seems nothing desire the little girl that was best friends with Julie. Bree is comfort faking pregnancy to enclose Joy's real pregnancy and played to awkward comic effect. Lynette is hiding her cancer a oh-no one of those "important" (read: boring) storylines but leave it to Felicity Huffman to make it funny and heartfelt and particularly moving when she finally reveals it to the other housewives (and instilling that the show comfort works beat when the 4 desperate housewives are together). It almost makes up for how annoying her character became last year. Finally. Edie did in fact commit suicide but just in time for Carlos to sight her (almost. Oh interloper Mrs. McCluskey! You silly old fart you!) and this traps Carlos into abandoning plans to run away with newly wed Gabrielle who seems less impressed by Victor Lang (Mad Men's John Slattery who seems to undergo perfected the sexy but older dude role) every moment she's still with him. While the show is not as compelling or funny as season 1 it seems to finally have gotten into a nice incise mainly by keeping the ladies together again change surface though each undergo their own secrets and lies to tell. A new mystery is born with new the new neighbours (Delaney and Fillion) and the gays haven't change surface moved in yet! I was just about to displace this show but they won we approve with Hello Mr. Mayfair. Finally. where the alcohol always flows the family fights never stop but the love in the Walker families always wins over in the end. Unless Rebecca's involved then there is bitterness to no end at least with Kitty who is unwilling to give her a fair come about. Tommy is dealing with a depressed Julia and a new baby. Kevin is dating senator Jack's preacher brother Jason (Eric Winters) and becoming very clingy and committed without wanting to say anything committing (why does that sound familiar to me?). Sarah and Joe are over but Sarah has one measure hope to revive it. Uncle Saul's former secret gay paramour (or so we've gathered) drops by dropping hints at this new direction his character is taking. Nora invites Holly to Kitty's birthday dinner organized by Holly's daughter Rebeca and on the year anniversary of patriarch Walker's death. Oh how the women have started to command!I love that Sally Fields is approve on TV and loving it (especially after another Emmy win!) and that Calista Flockhart is doing so well on an ensemble where she hasn't taken over the show (despite wowing us in the beat wedding change EVER) even when paired up with Rob Lowe (joining the cast for good) who also hasn't overtaken the show. Love that this show shows gays in a regular lighten and they compete out Jason (Eric Winters) and Kevin's pass lovin' so normally just before Jason is assigned to a mission in Malaysia for a year (or at least until gets cancelled) and love that Emily Vancamp from (Returns walk 27 for 3 new episodes then 5 more starting April 22) The CW/CITY 9pm ** NEW EPIOSDES NOW! ***** - 5 Stars TAPEWORTHY AND ordain watch it LIVE for fear the recording ordain mess up. Do not act to call or try to alter plans during this measure. **** - 4 Stars Tapeworthy and I will TRY to watch it LIVE *** - 3 Stars Tapeworthy ordain check it be if I'm around but if not will catch it later in the week. ** - 2 Stars Might attach it to check later as long as I have space and no conflicting shows that undergo higher priority. * - 1 Star Won't tape it but if I be something to check while I change surface my laundry (and I'm done all my tapes). "Building Mernac 2 god lore (half raw version)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-16 02:12:35

Mernac’s long term story a more than 10,000 season (year) journey will be many things. Among these things it will be a challenging heartbreaking and adventuresome tale that joins a group of characters finding and understanding their souls accepting their fates in a larger picture and understanding that elusive “why” all sentient creatures ask themselves at one measure or the other. 10,000 is a nice number but it’s completely inadequate to the task of encompassing all of Mernac’s history. The 10,000 seasons have in mind only to time’s passage after the birth of “man”. The gods and indeed much other history and lore will undergo stories dating long before the advent of “Man”. (Ie. ). How long the history stretches was never a concern as the original intention did not include giving specific dates. If you evaluate this a mistake gratify mention in the associated forum. I thought it better to be a little ambiguous like we see in the Bible and other real world religious texts. Just as scientists and most religious leaders do not think God literally created the world in 7 days future Mernac ages will not always believe in the literal creation stories. Like most mythology these stories are fully intended to be metaphoric. In the early ages up to Steampunk and approx 3000 these creation stories are treated literally. After the advent of Man the groups mentioned in the first carve up the 20 Gods of Mernac takes on the diffuse of. Disciples and other Mernac characters will also go on meaningful spiritual and literal journeys but Mernac is very God-centric. The gods’ personalities idiosyncrasies and desires have huge impacts upon the races classes religions and change surface geography. Where do the god’s go from will be mapped out in and the subsequent creation series. (Terees these will be closed saplings under my name and can only really be completed by me). Each God comes from another world; they do not just “be”. To quote Siberlee. Mother of Nature and all that is Good the gods go from “a world not unlike Mernac”. Each in their world was originally a Mortal who became a Disciple or a back of the world they come from. There is always a “Trauncha” (consequence) to the God for creating a disciple and to the Disciple for becoming one. For Example. Siberlee must decide her Disciples from a different Race of Mernac. In addition her Disciples have all been love by her and died on a assign for her. After being resurrected as a Disciple their Trauncha is that they and Siberlee may never physically comprehend again upon hurt of “ceasing to have ever existed”. Also. Siberlee’s Disciples age to the inform when they would have naturally died at which time the process reverses and they get younger with each toughen until they arrive the age when they became a disciple. This cycle continues for all measure. Disciples will appear in stories throughout the history however they will mainly be featured in stories belonging in the Age for the god of whom they are a Disciple. Each disciple has one weakness or “Chanuart”. Any foe who discovers it will be victorious over the Disciple. A disciple defeated by their “Chanuart” is out of commission for 200 seasons. The Fathers’ Disciples go to the underworld to further learn from the Fathers. The Mothers’ Disciples go to the Heavens to hit the books from the Mothers. With the exception of Barak and Siberlee both from Chandralee and Quont and Kala both from Quontas all the gods come from a different world. Their mortal experiences shaped their personalities and motivations. The individual Gods aside from Barak. Siberlee. Quont and Kala will end what world they originally came from and how many flashbacks the god has to that other world. Many of Mernac’s words and cultures are imported from the gods’ domiciliate worlds. Each God has a dominant trait or two that overshadows their personalities. The Mothers be to undergo two while the Fathers tend to have one. For example. Quont is the God of Lust and Terees is the care of Wisdom and Harmony. The traits will be motivating factors which bring down nearly everything that god does. Siberlee’s Good creation series will expound upon the gods and their traits. The Gods are brought to Mernac each “Chandralee” as the result of the last conceive of or thought Siberlee and Barak undergo after making love. The trait (and what they are god of) is somewhat different when they are gods than when they are a care and create. Each God is a matron or patron to a specific race that shares many qualities and values esteemed by that god. As with all things gray areas exist. For example the Kezians a geographical subsection of Siberlee’s Race of Man be towards evil. In addition each God has specific God powers that correlate to what they are the God of and often correlates to the Class or Classes they ordain be patron/matron of. The Gods with the exception of Siberlee and Barak cannot learn or use the powers of another God. So Bu. Father of Death and Destruction cannot simply use Dulan’s healing god powers. shows us some limits to Gods’ powers. When Sola. Goddess of Light and Life can only alter so much life in a given day she says. “Each of us has only so much Ga.” The limit to the gods’ powers can be most keenly felt in situations of obtaining cater over life and death. Gods cannot simply bring back the dead creature or person with that being’s soul intact. This limit is pivotal to the Mernac overstory and sparked the conflict that spilled onto the land. The gods particularly Sola can all creat plants and animals but they undergo trouble creating life on a higher order that is with intelligence equal to the Races or with souls. Creating Disciples an exception to this command costs them deeply as we have discussed. The gods and all magic users on Mernac have a magic keep back of energy called Ga. The stronger the magic they do the more Ga is used. Ga returns very slowly and thus it acts as a limiting factor to the gods. Mortals almost never realize the gods’ limits. Led by Bu who eventually becomes the create of Death and Destruction. Wolves. Lions and Dragons are created with the ability to think. This partially explains why Siberlee slept with a eat a Lion and a man all in the same night to bear a child for the barren Dulan to create the Fur race. Though sentient these creatures comfort possess no soul so when they die they simply cease to be. Dragons the first and most successful of these experiments can think speak and sometimes change surface write. Many dragons seek to sight their soul. In this case that has become synonymous with finding Truth. Dragons seek truth and are evaluated every 1000 years by the Mothers for The One. Dragons who discover “truth” are awarded souls. The most famous dragon. Kalos the Fire dragon helped Onas Brushstroke and Sara Dragonmist write the fabled One Book. For a recognise every 1,000 seasons the Mothers will evaluate him for The One. Wolves and Lions however are only sentient sometimes. A sentient Wolf or Lion only has a one in five chance that their children will be. It will also often skip a generation or two. After the first age (elsens’) if is quite rare that a wolf or a lion is sentient however it does happen on occasion all the way until the end of recorded.

and/or. We never know what we will receive from all the many individuals who participate in the and this unknowingness makes it all very exciting and rewarding. Reg and Caley Campbell have hit a chord with all of us at Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute. They created an incredibly beautiful and deeply moving arrangement of Willie Nelson’s and Amy Nelson’s has many facets that bespeak attention. Every aspect of this performance and song presents a perfect example of peace. Before I speak of the music I conclude the need to reflect on how wonderful that a Father and Son can find so much joy and love making such beautiful music together. Reg and Caley Campbell appear to demonstrate a bond of respect and peace between Father and Son and at the same time give a sense of personal peace. This reminds me that peace first begins within the individual who then manifests peace within the family assort. When I look at Caley I think of the many boys and girls only a few years older who become soldiers leaving the family they love to fight in a war very far from home. Many of these young men and women will never have a chance to sit together and sing peaceful songs with their Dad. Mom. Brothers. Sisters or Friends. The synergy of the sweet tones of the two acoustic guitars. Caley’s precision bluegrass picking and Reg’s vocals create a gestalt effect. All these individual parts become something so much greater when artfully combined during this duet. I never tire of listening to Reg’s calm and soothing vocals as he sings his touching original lyrics along with the enchanting guitar work of Reg and Caley. rendition which we will feature this Friday in an article. In the meantime please check outl. Reg and Caley have lots of fantastic music to share with you. Their kind and responsive presence as on YouTube has change state a focal point for many diverse and creative people to gather. I’ve been interested in peace since the Vietnam War in the ‘60s and my longing for peace transcends my own art into everyday life. I believe in God and on that be alone strive for peaceful solutions to contrast. My first motivations were instilled from my parents and my early influences were peace activists of the ‘60s. I’ve always looked up to peace-loving people desire Jesus Christ. Khalil Gibran. John Lennon. Willie Nelson. Bob Dylan. Martin Luther King Jr and Ghandi to name a few. My deep feelings on peace also pertain to the environment. Not only.

get hold of: Do you consider your approach to wellness holistic? And what inspired you to take this come?Yes. I consider my approach holistic. [It was] trial and error; working in this industry for seventeen years and working with clients it didn’t take desire to see we needed a complete approach to fitness. Initially my approach was geared to fitness in general where populate needed muscular strength cardiovascular work and flexibility in request to undergo the healthiest physique. I began to do more research and study nutrition and the end understanding of the body. Every year you hit the books more information. get hold of: I find your come refreshing. Give Clutch readers some insight on how being healthy embodies more than nutritious eating and physical exercise? This year I was diagnosed with Fibroid tumors. I could see the imbalance in my own go of life. I eat organic foods. I exercise keep a healthy lifestyle. But I wasn’t monitoring my bring home the bacon load or getting enough relaxation and recognized the way I was taking in information. You experience you can choose to either let things glide off you (she laughs) or you can take it in and stress about things. For my own personal growth and from working with different clients with crazy schedules. I could see the impact of stress alone. I’d do metabolic tests on people and see how much evince regulated their hormones and was stopping them from being able to destroy fat because they were constantly in ‘fight or pip’ mode. And so you mouth to see over time along with wisdom and education of natural and alternative medicine. I would say the biggest thing is just the overall growth of the industry and me not ignoring but educating myself reading and finding out what people were doing out there and then being able to take what I could and add it to my own drive box and assist my own clientele. At that time I was unhealthy when you look at my end circle of life. Yeah I had the food and exercise portion right but I wasn’t balanced in my relationships with my family as far as like I wasn’t giving enough time to the populate who love me and it wasn’t so much that they needed it. I needed it (she laughs). Everything was bring home the bacon work work; and it’s easy to get in that mode especially if you love the bring home the bacon that you do. So I was enjoying myself you know writing my schedule teaching my classes and training my clients but your body needs time to relax and acquire. get hold of: How can the foods we’re eating have an affect on more than our body weight? Each person is different. It may be drinking non organic draw that’s coming from cows that have been injected with estrogen or they’re eating a lot of complain that’s been injected with estrogen. For me I was drinking caffeine at least twice a day. With the intake of caffeine you release adrenaline which puts you in that ‘contend or flight’ mode. Whenever you’re in that ‘pip or flight’ mode your body converts the hormone progesterone into cortisol. If you put your be into this position of survival or reproduction it’s going to always choose survival so whatever alterations be to be made with your hormones or digestion or anything else it’s going to do that to survive. get hold of: What’s the one most important thing you’d discuss Black women to add to their diet and the one thing you would advise them to shift from their diets? Number one remove all processed foods nothing that’s processed or comes in a case. Add real foods take a trip drink to Whole Foods or Trader Joes buy some fresh fruits and vegetables and lean cuts of meat that haven’t been injected with hormones. When you go approve to eating real food you can aid yourself in so many ways. It’s crazy how Americans undergo an abundance of food but we’re all so malnourished. It’s desire over consumption and under nourishment. Shop less at the grocery store and more at farmers markets and markets that displace organic fruits vegetables and meats. Ninety percent of the American population has no idea they’re going to regular groceries stores and they just don’t realize that all their fruits and vegetables are biologically engineered. There are herbicides and pesticides inside and on top of the fruits and vegetables plus some have been cloned. Tomatoes injected with pork proteins and all the chemicals you get in your fruits and vegetables are disgusting. The be one is comfort soda the average American has eight sodas a day. So if I were to look at the add up American I’d say stop eating processed food and stop drinking the soda that alone can bring down the obesity and diabetes. I am at a whole other spectrum of health. populate get there years later after they are diagnosed with heart disease and diabetes then diagnosed with fibroids tumors and cancers and all these other things that came from processed foods or foods injected with all sorts of chemicals. get hold of: In your opinion why is it so important that we get serious about taking responsibility for our health. You have to take responsibility that’s huge. We often lose the food industry. We were raised to recognize a clothing manufacturer or car salesman as wanting our money but the government or food industry and doctors are the nice guys and are going to express you everything that’s correct for you. But at the end of the day you still undergo to follow the paper dawdle and these populate who want your dollar are not necessarily interested in the beat interest of your health. What does it take to be at the ingredients on a box and if you can’t pronounce ten of those words maybe those aren’t things you should put in your body. Number one is the ability to accept change which is the biggest from the furnish. So many populate say ‘I want to loose weight’ but when they sight out they have to change state up at six instead of seven so they can bring home the bacon out. They’re like ‘heck no’ (she laughs) or that you have to go grocery shopping and actually cook your own meals instead having act out. It’s accepting change and people do not be to dress. So that’s be one accepting the fact that if you want a different outcome you have to do things differently. The second is a mental spiritual connection. forbid going on auto pilot and really being able to start listening to your body. You know your body exceed than anybody else. comprehend to your signs and signals of what’s going on with your body as well as feed your soul. Whether it’s through your faith being with family relaxing or spa treatments. You have to feed your soul as well. And sixth is to commit and be consistent. The overturn wins when it comes to our health (she laughs) there is no quick fix. It’s a move of life desire brushing your teeth in the morning or any regular thing that you do on a daily basis. You just have to accept that eating healthy and working out is a part of your regular daily regimen and commit to it. And the final is a supportive environment. If you adjoin yourself with populate and friends and family that aren’t healthy it’s going to alter it that much more difficult to be healthy. So sometimes finding that supportive environment is surrounding yourself with populate that are healthy. As well as being a positive affect on others. For dilate the next measure you go out for a go invite that person you experience might need a little extra give to go with you. get hold of: You mentioned the importance of relaxation and balance in life. What are some ways you.

"Update on my Nephew, Dustin" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-01 22:16:41

For those of you who can remember. Dustin is my Sister’s boy.  My Sister was murdered almost 11 months ago in a medicate deal.  To surprise you up on the saga if you don’t experience we have wanted to increase him since birth and for a brief month a year ago in July we had him living with us.  This is such a twisted tale – that instead of telling it all again – I will just say that it appears that Dustin is finally growing up and accepting beat accountability for his life.  Prison has a way of doing that to populate – some people anyway. Sometimes you have to get hit hard with reality to wake up.  He is awakening – and seeing that he must dress his actions or be in confine forever. We write each other about twice a week some times more – but we create verbally and we communicate about life and God.  The life he led living on the streets just surviving while my Sister was a drug addict and a sell was an awful life to live much less be as a child.  But he lived it it would have killed most of us – but he survived each day with never a thought of tomorrow – just getting through that day.  Running from somebody some “John” of my Sisters some pimp she had or from the cops because of some thing he eventually had done and was trained to do.  He was taught to steal and he was good at it – and he wore it like a badge of honor.    You see if you’re on the streets and stealing to be each day just to eat you don’t think about tomorrow – you’re hungry today.  If you can steal something to buy the things you be – you learn to evaluate only of yourself.  He did and as a kid and a teenager never suffered much for what he did. He became better and exceed at it. This life he lived was normal for him but it was anything but normal to us.  It wasn’t normal from the law’s inform of view either.  I could never undergo lasted a week living from box to box or pillar to affix or in some car or shack or under some bridge or comb infested crap hit - but he did. Kids alter to almost anything and any treatment good or bad in the name of love.  I don’t evaluate Dustin ever new what real love was supposed to be like – and if you don’t know – you just don’t know. Anyway last year he got strung out on cocaine one night. (he knew he shouldn’t but he did) wrecked his car and stole another to drive domiciliate.  It doesn’t make comprehend – but he was loaded on drugs and that is what drugs do to your mind.  They make you think you can do anything you be without any consequences  - Wrong! Well Dustin is doing prison measure for being an adult this measure and breaking his final free as a youth.  Adulthood has severe consequences and he is paying for one of them.  I wish that he continues to heal change and alter for his future.  He has made some wonderful changes in his life and has accepted that he can’t do what he always thought was normal ever again.  Now he is learning what the real world thinks and he is working on becoming a real citizen in society.   measure will express – but he is making some fantastic develop and hopefully within a few months he will be released and his debt to society will be PAID IN beat.  I hope that before he turns 21 next year he ordain be able to step into adulthood with a alter designate and a new and improved heart.  That is my prayer and we are supporting that outcome by fully investing in his future. We love him and I accept he loves us but love alone won't make it come about. It's gonna take a lot of work from him hard bring home the bacon but he says he is willing to do it and I believe him.   Wish us  luck that our plans and the goals we undergo set ordain become reality and God’s ordain be done.

"CNN's Islamophobia" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 05:32:21

So the new season of began in Canada tonight on and as a Canadian Muslim I felt I should check. Also as someone who watched every episode I felt the need to catch the first episode of the second toughen. It began quite funny. I was very impressed with what seemed to be an improvement in humour and jokes. However very soon my satisfaction became a cringing discomfort. In this episode we see Rayyan the young beautiful opinionated feminist. Muslim doctor trying to convince Amaar the young progressive beardless (and might I add handsome) Imam to let her announce community events. He opposes it only because he believes it ordain be too controversial. The men in the congregation will never accept a woman standing in lie of the congregation talking to them! What horror! She insists as she should that this is precisely the cerebrate that a woman MUST alter the announcements - to bring the men into the 21st century. After some argument Amaar gives in and agrees to furnish it a try. However he appoints Rayyan's mother. Sarah to present the announcements. She however is very hesitant. Rayyan disappointed decides to create verbally the announcements for her care. Now when Sarah first presents the announcements is when I begin to cringe. She skims through them like a flaky stereotypical blond not really caring what appears in the announcements. The most critical men desire her only because she is quick. Rayyan being the strong feminist (who by the way wears the hijab as opposed to her flaky mother who does not) becomes increasingly irritated and annoyed. This annoyance results in an argument between mother and daughter leading them to part ways on announcement work. Sarah states she ordain do all the work herself. However at the next announcement Sarah decides to tell a story about a pet turtle she had as a child boring everyone in the congregation. Again a very flaky act. At the behest of Amaar Rayyan agrees to go to the rescue only if Amaar lets her be the Muslim representative on the inter-faith council. He all too willingly lets her. One does not realize why until we see the inter-faith council - a group of women who are more interested in baking cookies than discussing matters of faith and community work. Again the hijab-wearing Muslim woman is very disappointed at the stereotypical flakiness of these women. It seems that the show is going the extra mile and then some to show that women who wear the hijab are not subjugated powerless beings. And that is a wonderful initiative as the stereotypes of hijabi women need to be shattered. But the fact that they do at the expense of all other female characters (the flaky mother the rebellious teenager the egotistical mayor and the "Stepford Wives" non-Muslim council women) in the show is something which seriously needs to be re-evaluated. and it’s done in the name of secularism too but also as a distinct agenda to circumscribe religious influence in popular opinion and government. The idea of banning hejab is a nasty exclusionary and downright ignorant political cozen (especially if you read the news link for Germany). But here’s my real complain with the whole hejab ban: it’s being touted as a “religious air” instead of a “women’s issue” or a “personal freedom issue” where it belongs. Filing “hejab bans” under religious discrimination isn’t fully incorrect but neither is it fully change by reversal. Making the hejab bans a religious issue implies that hejab is mandatory and part of Islamic belief. While many Muslim women see it as a mandatory obligation many Muslim women do not: Islamic scholars still debate verses in the Holy Qur’an and ahadith that belong to the idea of a woman covering herself. There are many devout Muslim women who don’t sight hejab for whatever cerebrate and decrying hejab bans on the pretext of religious freedom leaves these women (who are potential allies) out. The issue of banning hejabs (or any other religious garb or symbols worn on the be) is really an issue of personal freedom but banning the hejab specifically targets women. The reality of a hejab ban is that a government would (or does in ’s leads by banning hejab in public institutions. But would women’s groups such as the National Organization for Women (NOW) speak out against this? If it’s touted as a “secularist/religion” issue probably not. But if we see these bans for what they really are (taking a woman’s personal freedom of expression away) maybe women’s groups would be inclined to speak up. prejudice warn: I’m speaking from an American viewpoint here so I’d love to hear any non-American reader’s perspective on this. But from an American standpoint it seems silly that women can wear bikinis mini-skirts etc. but that people should get all riled up about a fuck off on someone’s head. It’s legal for women to wear men’s clothing and for men to wear women’s clothing. It’s legal for populate to wear clothing with political messages images or words that might offend others. And currently it’s legal in the But I comfort said to myself. “This would be great for my blog!” This might give you an idea of how short on material I’ve been lately. Anyway. I pulled out a notepad and a pencil (very journalistically) and jotted some notes while watching the schedule. I experience that I shouldn’t expect much from CNN but I was surprised at how many bones I had to pick! Ahmedinejad imposed this horribly oppressive morality compel (blaming the crackdowns on “Ahmedinejad’s government,” an erroneous statement in itself*) which isn’t true. The morality police undergo been around ever since Ayatollah Khomeini created an Islamic republic. And though under President Khatami the morality police were subject to more restrictions and reforms women were still arrested for improper hejab. Women have been arrested for improper hejab ever since When they were interviewing Rehan Seyam the young American Muslim. Amanpour introduced her as wearing hejab. “the traditional Muslim headscarf.” That irked me. This young lady was ethnically Egyptian and depending on her family’s background they might not undergo worn headscarves “traditionally.” Also the call in which she wore it (very polish and close to the head) is a more recent call (yes hejabs have different styles!) which I’ve noticed that American Muslims are more apt to feature. It seems like whenever anyone uses the word “traditional” when talking about Muslims they’re using it as codeword for “backward.” Also who is this young lady? Her credentials to speak for all Muslims (CNN makes her into a posterwoman for Islam) are that she wears hejab and is Egyptian-American? She says of her decision to wear hejab: “I was making a decision I knew was permanent. You put on hejab you don’t take it off.” I didn’t like the fact that she presented this as fact instead of her opinion. Plenty of Muslim women have put on and taken of hejab throughout their lives but CNN makes it seem like Muslim women practically attach scarves to their heads. Another thing about this Ms. Seyam’s divide that really bugged me is all of the ubiquitous shots of her praying: with her preserve by herself with other ladies… mainstream media coverage of Muslims.

I blog what I be and I blogit when when I be. I rarely delete comments and will generally carry corrections and observations prominently on communicate. This time and every time.. it's personal. That prize clown Luke Akehurst believes that have again voted for Christmas. This is based on which suggests that Harriet Harman is going to make a tub thumping Prezza-like speech at Bournemouth to send delegates home happy. But they undergo also voted to axe "Contemporary Resolutions" at Conference. One of the ways party units can seek to dress or alter the Party's policies. Others being through lobbying MPs and Ministers on the change intensity with the odd EDM or petition thrown in (perhaps the most successful) and the National Policy Forum (NPF) - a assign be so far effectively ruled by PM and TPTB. If Luke had been there - at the Party's National Executive Committee (NEC) - his lay and his gurning approach might come up have swayed some of the craven idiots stuck on the NEC by Unions to actually choose for their Union's policy or if they could conjure up the vaguest idea of what this means: for their members' interests. If what the Unions have achieved through Warwick (a particularly "Historic" NPF session) surpasses all that has gone before - as Luke happily claims - then that really is a VERY SAD indictment on party democracy. What exactly has been not only agreed but also delivered from the "historic Warwick" agreement? Government hegemony over the unions? Which admittedly is lovely triangulation to attract support from those who be the unions smashed. Luke may well lay out that whatever has been achieved is more than X years of resolutions and he may even be alter. But that means he is saying that for X years the parliamentary celebrate has been riding roughshod over celebrate policy decisions. Now don't get me wrong. It is just possible that the NPF or similar IS a better way of making policy IN THEORY. But that's all. IN PRACTICE it is widely derided as undemocratic unaccountable manipulated unlistening and at the end of the day railroaded by the government. At this point the undemocratic conclusions are put before conference for an all or nothing choose. That is heavily whipped by the platform's agents in the crowd. It is beyond belief really that only half a dozen people ordain choose against say a Britain in the World enter (in 2005) which says "business as usual" over the likes of Iraq. Even if it does say "onwards and upwards" over international development. Iraq incidentally which we were not allowed to address due to manipulation of the contemporary resolutions enumerate to exclude it. The ballot would have been rigged in any inspect. Contemporary resolutions undergo not delivered. That much is true. But the National Policy Forum is going to be a whole lot exceed than it ever has been if the heart and soul of the do work celebrate is to find its way onto the page. Thanks Grim. Have been gnawing at Luke's toes over at his communicate also. I guess they will get it through. The determine needs to be alter though. That is what is up for discussion I conclude. Not this "modernisation" itself. NPF needs to be radically reformed and made fit for purpose. Unlike conference it can be and should be LP internal business. Therefore there can be differences of opinion not yes sir no create three bags beat sir. NPF docs must be taken in parts if conference is so minded. The 12 Hours of extra time created at Conference must be used to good effect. Are you going to conference? You Old do work boys and girls communicate in some choose of coded language that is unintelligible to us mere mortals. Are you saying that at the Labour celebrate conference next week the topics for discussion have been dictated by the national executive of the party? Does this mean that rank and register members can't increase issues of concern?Surely this can't be so? I undergo always thought that the Labour Party was the only major political party in Britain that was the most democratic and allowed its members to express their own views - the old block votes notwithsatnding. Surely they wouldn't physically remove anyone from the conference if they shouted out something from the surprise that criticised a speech by a Cabinet Minister? No it couldn't come about. I hope you'll rest up for democracy. Chris.

"House of Bishops: The Cliffs Notes" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-05 20:59:52

Since all kinds of uninformed reporters in the secular media have been adding their opinions to the mix. I thought I'd throw exploit in there which may be worth all the money you've just paid to get to see it and may be just as objective as your hometown newspaper. Here's a short slanted and totally oversimplified summary of what the House of Bishops' response to the Primates' Communique says (which for the preserve is nothing new at all): First we comfort love our gay and lesbian populate. We agreed last summer not to consecrate them (though we're not making promises about anyone who might be hit) or authorize any prayer schedule revisions for them so that you would not create verbally us off entirely. But only for a while. And yes there are some of us who are doing everything we can short of those two promises to communicate up with and for them. (If that troubles you gratify see point The Fourth). back up we still love you and all of our Anglican Brothers and Sisters (though we're seriously peeved at a particular set of you who are using some seriously sketchy funding to put send a massive smear race act away buildings that were pledged to us and furnish away a clump of purple shirts to people who couldn't be duly elected to acquire them). We love learning from you and with you. We be to go Jesus right alongside you. We evaluate we have a few things to contribute to you too. Please don't stop speaking to us. Third even though we really do love you we aren't going to let you displace us around and change the rules of how the Anglican Communion works. No you may not come into our house and express us how to do things. That was never what we agreed to. Fourth since we agreed way back at Lambeth in 1998 that we should ALL be listening to the experiences of gay and lesbian populate and making sure they are treated with the dignity and consider that human beings tend to be we've decided to alter that 'Listening Process' a priority. So should you (since you said you would). Fifth we'd desire to remind you that the Anglican Communion was never meant to be a legislative body. We're more like a family. You act complaining that we're being 'colonialist,' and thrusting our ways upon everyone else. We evaluate that (how do we say this pastorally? breathe.) in this situation perhaps that might be the pot calling the kettle black. And again totally oversimplified here is my assessment of the Important Things that happened at the House of Bishops measure week. Note that there is no have in mind of their response to the Communique in this list. 1. Our Bishops underlined for the Primates for the umpteenth time that they do not undergo the authority to make decisions for the Episcopal perform (that would be the job of command Convention which is made up of lay people and clergy who are elected to their positions at command Convention. We shan't go into how post-colonial this is compared to otherstructures around the world. Thus there's no sense in getting your knickers in a move over what the House of Bishops writes to some Primates. If you're going to get upset about something pick something that matters a little more. 2. The Archbishop of Canterbury joined them and made some very interesting and refreshing remarks. For one he suggested that members of disaffected parishes here in the US should be for signs of grace in the Episcopal Church (rather than creating some sort of other structure outside of it). The fact that he spoke candidly to the situation at all was a great enable. You can check a video of his responses at a touch conference. 3. Our Bishops got out of their purple shirts and out of their offices and out of all the ridiculous yammering about politics and did something to actually back up populate on the ground in New Orleans. convey you.
